Data Deletion

Overview

Tattva Tarot is designed with privacy at its core. We do not require user accounts, we do not store your readings or personal data on any cloud server, and we have no access to your reading history. All your data — readings, journal entries, settings, and preferences — exists only on your device.

Because we do not hold any of your personal data on our servers, there is no cloud-hosted account to delete. The only data associated with your use of Tattva Tarot is stored locally on your device, and you have full control over it.

What Data Is Stored Locally

When you use Tattva Tarot, the following data is stored on your device:

  • Your tarot reading history and spread data
  • Journal entries and personal notes
  • Bookmarked cards and selected favorites
  • App theme, card deck, and card back preferences
  • Premium subscription status (cached locally)
  • App settings and display preferences

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1: Clear App Data (Recommended)

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Apps or Apps & notifications
  3. Locate and select Tattva Tarot from the list
  4. Tap Storage & cache
  5. Tap Clear storage or Clear data
  6. Confirm the action when prompted

Note: This will permanently delete all your readings, journal entries, and settings. This action cannot be undone.

Option 2: Uninstall the App

Simply uninstalling Tattva Tarot from your device will remove all locally stored data. Long-press the app icon and select Uninstall, or go to Settings → Apps → Tattva Tarot → Uninstall. You may want to export your readings first if you wish to keep them.

Third-Party Data

While your tarot data is entirely local, certain third-party services integrated into the App collect anonymized analytics and advertising data:

  • Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — Anonymous usage and crash data. You can reset the Firebase installation ID by clearing app data (Option 1 above).
  • Google AdMob — You can reset or delete your advertising ID at Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID. Premium users are not served ads.
  • RevenueCat — Anonymous subscription management data. This is automatically removed when you clear app data.
